Privacy Policy

Video Guest Book is designed for local, private use at an event. It does not provide accounts, advertising, behavioural analytics or a developer-operated video cloud.

Information kept on the iPad

Event names, dates, prompts, appearance choices and the local record of an event activation are stored by the app on that device. A background image selected with Apple’s photo picker is copied into the app’s local storage. Camera video and microphone audio are captured only after a person taps the recording controls.

Photos and videos

Completed videos are added to the Wedding Messages album in the iPad Photos library. The app requests Photos access to find or create that album and add recordings. Copies in Photos may sync through the host’s Apple or iCloud settings. Video Guest Book does not upload videos, photos or event details to a server operated by Angry Chimp Productions.

Purchase information

Event activation is a consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple and RevenueCat. The app receives the product identifier, transaction identifier and purchase status required to show the localised offer, confirm payment, prevent one transaction from activating multiple events and recover an incomplete local assignment. RevenueCat uses an anonymous app-user identifier and processes purchase history for purchase validation, app operation and aggregate purchase reporting. Video Guest Book does not receive or store payment-card details.

Deletion and retention

An activation is attached to one local event on one app installation. Removing the app deletes its local events and activation assignments. Consumable purchases are not promised to restore after deletion. Removing an activated event is disabled. Deleting the app does not delete copies already stored in Photos, but it can remove any app-local recording that has not reached Photos.

Your choices

The host can withdraw Camera, Microphone or Photos access in iPad Settings. Recording needs Camera and Microphone access. If Photos access is denied, the guest flow still closes safely, but the host must correct access before relying on automatic saving.

Tracking and third parties

The app does not implement behavioural analytics, targeted advertising or cross-app tracking. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase records under their own policies. A future change to the app’s SDKs or data flows will require this policy and the App Store privacy declaration to be updated.
