Video Guest Book support
Set up and test the complete iPad experience before guests arrive. After each message, the app returns to the welcome screen for the next guest.
Set up an event
- Create an event and customise its words, optional photo, emoji, colours, prompts and fonts.
- Make a test recording and check its picture and sound in Photos.
- Activate the event to unlock unlimited guest recordings for that event.
- Set a six-digit Party Mode code, then turn on iPad Guided Access.
Purchase help
The activation button displays Apple’s local price before purchase. An activation is a consumable tied to one event on the current iPad installation. Each additional event requires another activation. Deleting the app removes local events and activations, and consumable activations are not designed to restore after deletion.
If Apple confirms payment but the event does not unlock, open that unactivated event and use Recover an incomplete activation. Do not buy again until recovery has been tried.
Find recorded videos
Completed messages save automatically to Photos → Albums → Wedding Messages. Photos may sync through the host’s Apple or iCloud settings. Video Guest Book does not upload guest videos to its own cloud. Check the Photos copy and audio before guests arrive and before uninstalling the app.
Camera, sound or Photos problems
Open iPad Settings → Apps → Video Guest Book and allow Camera, Microphone and Photos. Return to the app and make a short test. Check free storage, power, volume and any external microphone. The recording screen uses the front camera. The white screen-light frame can help in a dim room.
Keep the iPad in the app
Use Device lock guide in Video Guest Book to prepare iPad Guided Access. The app’s six-digit Party Mode code protects host screens; the Guided Access passcode controls the iPad itself. They are separate codes. Practise starting and stopping both modes before the event.

Never send an Apple Account password, purchase password, Party Mode code, recovery code or private guest video unless support first provides an agreed secure method and explains why it is needed.
